Huawei Wins CEM and Green Technology Awards at 2015 Informa Telecoms Awards
[London, UK, Nov. 5, 2015] Huawei won the "Best CEM Award" for their SmartCare® Customer Experience Management (CEM) solution at the prestigious Informa Telecoms Global Awards Ceremony. The company also collected the "Green Technology Award" following the successful introduction of an overhead heat pipe refrigeration solution at a Chongqing Mobile’s Longzhouwan datacenter.
Informa awards are highly regarded in the telecom industry as the judges are composed of experts from mainstream carriers, authoritative analysts and media.
HUAWEI’s SmartCare® solution is leading the industry in terms of its technical and consultative capabilities, number of successful installations and above all the openness of its platform architecture. By July 2015, Huawei had delivered more than 30 Service Operation Centers (SOCs) around the world, helping to optimize the customer experience in 110 networks, inspiring CSP business success around the globe.
VIVA Kuwait used SmartCare to monitor key customers through the critical first 30 days from initial contact through initialization of the contract to their actual perception of the network quality and customer care support. SmartCare helped VIVA Kuwait improve its net promoter score (NPS) by 20 points and drive revenue increase. Meanwhile, Shanghai Unicom, used Huawei's innovative OSS and BSS data association and big data analytics to help Shanghai Unicom reduce their churn rate by almost 30% and avoid tens of millions in potential losses.

Huawei also collected the Green Technology Award following the installation of an overhead heat pipe refrigeration solution in Chongqing Mobile's Longzhouwan datacenter. The solution lowered the power consumption by 30% to 40% whilst saving 15% of equipment room for other profitable leasing opportunities. Compared with traditional refrigeration systems, the overhead heat pipe refrigeration system either compresses or throttles components, therefore consuming less power. The power consumption of the heat pipes are around 70% less than that of a traditional indoor draught fan in addition to the saving made from the energy efficient overhead heat pipe refrigeration.
