Security Advisory - Command Injection Vulnerability in Huawei FusionAccess

There is a command injection vulnerability in Huawei FusionAccess due to the lack of input validation. A remote attacker with specific permission could inject an Lightweight Directory Access Protocol(LDAP) operation command into a specific input variable to obtain sensitive information from the database. (Vulnerability ID: HWPSIRT-2016-06020)

This vulnerability has been assigned a Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) ID: CVE-2016-8779.

This vulnerability can be exploited only when the following conditions are present: 1. The attacker logs in to the FusionAccess. Vulnerability details: Because of the lack of input validation, a remote attacker with specific permission could inject an LDAP operation command into a specific input variable to obtain sensitive information from the database.
