There is a privilege escalation vulnerability in Huawei smart phones. An unauthenticated attacker can bypass phone activation to user management page of the phone and create a new user. Successful exploit could allow the attacker operate part function of the phone. (Vulnerability ID: HWPSIRT-2016-11098)
This vulnerability has been assigned a Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) ID: CVE-2017-2727.

This vulnerability can be exploited only when the following conditions are present: 
An attacker got phone because user lost it or the phone was stolen.  
Vulnerability details: 
An unauthenticated attacker can bypass phone activation to user management page of the phone and create a new user. Successful exploit could allow the attacker operate part function of the phone.

The product that supports automatic update will receive a system update prompt. You can install the update to fix the vulnerability.

This vulnerability was discovered by Huawei internal tester.
