There is an authentication bypass vulnerability in the 'Find Phone' function of some Huawei smart phone. Due to improper authentication realization in the 'Find Phone' function. An attacker may exploit the vulnerability to bypass the 'Find Phone' function in order to use the phone normally. (Vulnerability ID: HWPSIRT-2017-10067)

This vulnerability has been assigned a Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) ID: CVE-2017-17161.

An attacker may exploit the vulnerability to bypass the 'Find Phone' function in order to use the phone normally.

This vulnerability can be exploited only when the following conditions are present:

1. An attacker got phone because user lost it or it was stolen.

Vulnerability details:

Due to improper authentication realization in the 'Find Phone' function. An attacker may exploit the vulnerability to bypass the 'Find Phone' function in order to use the phone normally.

The product that supports automatic update will receive a system update prompt. You can install the update to fix the vulnerability.

This vulnerability was discovered by Huawei internal tester.
