There is a lock-screen bypass vulnerability in Huawei smartphones. An unauthenticated attacker could force the phone to the fastboot mode and delete the user's password file during the reboot process, then login the phone without screen lock password after reboot. (Vulnerability ID: HWPSIRT-2016-11072)
This vulnerability has been assigned CVE ID:CVE-2017-2691.

This vulnerability can be exploited only when the following conditions are present:
The attacker has the smartphone's unlock password.
Vulnerability details:
An unauthenticated attacker could force the phone to the fastboot mode and delete the user's password file during the reboot process, then login the phone without screen lock password after reboot.
Smart phones that support automatic update will receive a system update prompt. You can install the update to fix the vulnerability.
This vulnerability was discovered by Huawei internal tester.
