An attacker can exploit this vulnerability to lead to product memory leak and ultimately damage the product's availability.
The vulnerability classification has been performed by using the CVSSv3 scoring system (http://www.first.org/cvss/specification-document).
Base Score: 3.7 (AV:N/AC:H/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:L)
Temporal Score: 3.5 (E:F/RL:O/RC:C)
This vulnerability can be exploited only when the following conditions are present:
1. The attacker gains access to the products network.
2. The targeted device interface enables the MPLS.
Vulnerability details:
Some Huawei products have a memory leak vulnerability. In some specific conditions, if attackers send specific malformed MPLS Service PING messages to the affected products, products do not release the memory when handling the packets. So successful exploit will result in memory leak of the affected products.
Customers should contact Huawei TAC (Huawei Technical Assistance Center) to request the upgrades. For TAC contact information, please refer to Huawei worldwide website at http://www.huawei.com/en/psirt/report-vulnerabilities.
