Security Advisory - Array Out-of-bounds Read Vulnerability in Huawei Smartphone Products

Successful exploit this vulnerability can make attacker to read out of bounds and possibly cause the device abnormal.

The vulnerability classification has been performed by using the CVSSv3 scoring system (http://www.first.org/cvss/specification-document).

Base Score: 3.3 (AV:L/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:L)

Temporal Score: 3.1 (E:F/RL:O/RC:C)

This vulnerability can be exploited only when the following conditions are present:

The attacker has successfully tricked a user into installing the malicious application;

There is an array out-of-bounds read vulnerability in Huawei Smartphone products. Due to the lack verification of array, an attacker tricks a user into installing a malicious application, and the application can exploit the vulnerability and make attacker to read out of bounds of array and possibly cause the device abnormal.
