There is a memory leak vulnerability in some firewall products. The software does not sufficiently track and release allocated memory while parse certain message, the attacker sends the message continuously that could consume remaining memory. Successful exploit could cause memory exhaust. (Vulnerability ID: HWPSIRT-2019-12415)

This vulnerability has been assigned a Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) ID: CVE-2020-1815

This vulnerability can be exploited only when the following conditions are present:

1. IPSEC function is enabled.

2. The attacker could gain access the affected network.

Vulnerability details:

The software does not sufficiently track and release allocated memory while parse certain message, the attacker sends the message continuously that could consume remaining memory. Successful exploit could cause memory exhaust.
