"Tech by Her - Technology according to Women" is a documentary which features inspiring female role models who used technology to make a difference to their surroundings, in the South of Italy.

Through the voices of the protagonists, the documentary tells the story of women who introduced significant innovations to their reference industries and had an impact, thus bringing along a positive change in their territory and beyond, improving other people’s quality of life, and triggering an evolutionary process for the entire society.

From Elena who has made the empty rooms of a castle more enjoyable, both on site and from remote, through the use of Artificial Intelligence and Augmented Reality to Mariarita who has been a pioneer in the business software industry, developing one the first programs that allowed mass sending of SMS to a large database of recipients.

From Cristina who have found the courage to restart her career from scratch and found a startup that combine her passion for kids with her endless curiosity for technology to Fabi who has developed a digital services app to contribute bridging the digital gender gap that penalizes women, especially in less developed countries.

The documentary also explores the difficulties and challenges that women find themselves facing on a daily basis, such as old stereotypes, bias and lack of flexibility, in the absence of adequate programs and policies able to encourage them to make their valuable contribution and conquer positions of power and influence.
